Max Behrens devoted 30 years to Philco-Ford-Visteon, where he worked in electrical engineering, focusing on vehicle radios. He was known for his love of tinkering with repairs and had a strong interest in vehicle infotainment systems. In addition to his technical skills, Behrens was passionate about woodworking and had a long-standing hobby as an Amateur Radio Operator, also known as a HAM.
In recognition of the care provided to him, his family expressed gratitude to the staff at Novi Lakes Health Campus and Brighton Hospice. A private family service will be held in his honor, and instead of flowers, donations can be made to various animal rescues, including PAWS with a Cause and the Michigan Animal Rescue League. He is remembered by those who knew him for his insightful perspective on life.
Mandie Lassy, 37, Tragically Killed
Mandie Echo Lassy died in a car accident in Shelton on Sunday, May 20, 2025, at the age of 37. Lassy was a devoted mother to three children: Mason, Braxton, and Liliana Murphy. Born in Bristol, she was the daughter of Walter R. and Donna Chasse Lassy and a resident of the Terryville section of Plymouth.
Lassy was an accomplished professional, having completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at UConn, followed by an MBA from Post University. She worked for RS Medical, where her compassion and selflessness earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Lassy is survived by her brother Walter Y. Lassy, sister Chantel Blackburn, and grandmothers Carmen Chasse and Caroline Campbell, as well as many other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with visitation hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Scott Funeral Home. Burial will take place privately at the family’s convenience.
