HEREPlymouth’s golf desk covers every course, every tournament, and every story relevant to golf in Plymouth, Wayne County, and the wider Metro Detroit region. The Plymouth-Canton-Northville corridor sits inside one of the deepest public-golf markets in Michigan — anchored by Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center (Plymouth, one of the largest public facilities in the state with multiple 18-hole layouts), St. John’s Resort Golf Club, Hilltop Golf Course (a Plymouth municipal course), Pheasant Run, and the historic Plymouth Country Club on the private side. Just over the Oakland County line, Oakland Hills Country Club (host of six U.S. Opens and a future U.S. Open in 2034 and 2051) anchors the regional tournament calendar, while public access remains strong across Wayne County parks courses.

Tournament coverage tracks Golf Association of Michigan (GAM) events hosted across Wayne and Oakland counties, junior PGA Michigan events, Michigan Open and Michigan Amateur qualifiers, and the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Division I, II, and III regional and state golf calendars for the Plymouth-area programs (Plymouth, Canton, Salem, Northville, Livonia Stevenson, Livonia Churchill, Livonia Franklin, and Plymouth Christian Academy). Coverage also tracks course-condition reports after Michigan weather events, club-pro hires, course renovations, and the small-business sponsorships flowing to junior-golf programs across Wayne County.
