PLYMOUTH, Mich. — Plymouth, Mich., voters who reach the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 3, will find several close-to-home races below the contests for governor and U.S. Senate.

Three full-term seats and one partial term ending in 2028 are open on the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools board. Four seats on the Plymouth District Library board are also on the ballot, along with three full-term seats and one partial term on the Schoolcraft College Board of Trustees.

Schoolcraft is also asking voters to renew its operating levy of 2.27 mills for 2029 through 2038, with no change to the current rate. The college is based in Livonia, about 8 miles east of Plymouth. The city notice estimates the renewal would raise about $50.8 million in 2029, and the college says a property worth $150,000 pays roughly $170 a year toward Schoolcraft.

Two Wayne County questions round out the local list. One renews the Detroit Zoo levy at 0.10 mill for ten years and is expected to bring in about $6.1 million in its first year. The other would add a new 0.2 mill tax for public history museums, projected to raise roughly $12.2 million countywide.

Residents who are not yet registered can still sign up in person with proof of residency on Election Day at the City Clerk office, 201 S. Main St., from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
