On January 23, law enforcement spotted a vehicle that matched the description. When they attempted to conduct a traffic stop, Walik-Rasool didn’t stick around to chat. He sped off, lost control of his vehicle, and made a desperate attempt to escape on foot.

He was arraigned in court on January 24, 2025, and had his bond set at $10,000 cash or surety. His next court date is coming up soon on February 27, 2025, and if convicted, he faces some serious time behind bars. Potential sentences include up to two years for fleeing police, up to two years for resisting arrest, and a year for each count of mail theft.
