PLYMOUTH, Mich. — Costumes on: Downtown Plymouth turns into one big trick-or-treat route Sunday, Oct. 18, for the 15th Pumpkin Palooza.

The free event starts at 11:30 a.m. and wraps up at 2:30 p.m. The downtown development authority calls it the city’s biggest Halloween event, and more than 100 businesses and community groups plan to hand out goodies along the streets.

Expect street performers and entertainment around downtown, and a lot of costumes on kids, grown-ups and pets alike. Four-legged family members are welcome to come along too.

While you are downtown, swing through Kellogg Park, where more than 100 scarecrows decorated by local businesses and groups stay up through Nov. 2.

More Halloween dates are coming. The Old Village Association holds its own Halloween event on Sunday, Oct. 25, from noon to 4 p.m., according to the city’s newsletter. On Halloween night, Saturday, Oct. 31, the city has set trick-or-treating hours of 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
